Chapter 3. Understanding Inbound Call Control
In Chapter 2, Basic PBX Configuration, our recipes were focused on how to set up the basic PBX functionalities in order to send and receive calls. In this chapter, we will get deeper into the incoming (inbound) call features. The recipes we will cover in this chapter are as follows:
- Displaying voice announcements
- Blocking unwanted callers
- Routing calls based on caller ID
- Using MySQL to search for the caller's name
- Using HTTP to search for a user
- Setting up day/night controls
- Forwarding incoming calls to another extension or number
- Setting up a ring group
