音程

正如原子是构成物质的基本单位,音程是构成旋律及和弦的基本单位。我们给音程一个恰当的定义:两个音之间的距离。谱1–1给出了所有的音程——都以中央C为基准——从最小的半音/小二度,一直到八度。每个音程的上面是最常见的名称,其下是别的名称。

以下图表列出了所有的音程,以它们在爵士标准曲目中出现的上行或下行方式表示。除特别说明以外,这些被列出的音程都是乐曲开始的前两个旋律音。唱出每个音程,然后在你的乐器上演奏出来。如果你能准确地唱出音程,那在你演奏时会更易于听辨出来。每首乐曲名字后面的注释例举了该曲的一个出色的录音——许多情况下是此曲的首版录音。
